Prof. Dr. Theo Schetters
Theo Schetters studied Biology at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. In 1986 he obtained a PhD in Medicine from Nijmegen University in the Netherlands and moved to NIMR in Mill Hill, London (UK) to work on malaria immunology. From 1988 to 2014 he was employed at Intervet International (Boxmeer, The Netherlands) where he developed vaccines against parasitic diseases. He holds an Extraordinary Professor position at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He has published over 100 scientific research articles.
Since the onset of the corona crisis, he has voiced criticism of the massive roll-out of vaccines developed using new genetic technologies on entire populations without data to prove the safety and efficacy of such products. He continues to inform the public about the negative risk-benefit analysis of the COVID-19 vaccines, with contributions to scientific meetings, national scientific journals, newspapers and talk shows on new and old media.
He presented evidence (based on publicly available databases) that with each vaccination campaign in the Netherlands, the all-cause mortality in the population increased. These results were presented at the International Covid Summit III that was held at the European Parliament in Brussels (May 2023). He gave a testimony to the Temporary Corona Committee that prepared the Parliamentary Enquiry which is scheduled to start in 2024.
